New
Auto Updates
One of the most important parts of this new version is that updates will now be done automatically from a public Github repository! No need to reinstall the application manually, SpendLess takes care of everything!
Filters
Projects can now be sorted according to certain criteria, allowing a more personalized display than before. The sorting filters are as follows:
- Last updated (or last updated projects)
- Title
- Genre
- Tempo
- Work Time
- Creation Date
Archives
Another big feature of this update is the archive system. If you are a productive person, you should find that the project page can fill up very quickly, making the page very clear and the project search tedious. Also, some unused projects can sometimes take up a lot of space even though they are no longer in use.
Before implementing a powerful search module (👀) it seemed preferable to have an archive system, allowing you to exclude and minimize unused projects in order to clean up your projects without deleting them or extracting them from SpendLess. Moreover, the archive system is designed to facilitate one-click reintegration, allowing you to quickly re-import a previously archived project.
Finally, the button used to refresh projects has been modified to work on archives when you are on them.
Repair projects
This is a minor addition but it allows ids and certain data to be synchronized within the project to avoid project-related bugs. You can access it on certain projects from the context menu.
Backups
Third and last very big feature, the backup system. The bakcup system allows you to save all your projects in a given location inside a compressed file holding all your projects also compressed. You also have the possibility to define whether you want normal or strong compression. This allows you, for example, to export all your projects directly to an external hard drive in order to keep them in the event of loss. For the moment only non-archived projects are concerned.
No samples found popup
Small addition mainly for security. A popup will now be shown when a project processed by SpendLess does not contain any samples in order to warn the user of suspicious behavior. You will have the possibility to deactivate this popup in the options or directly on the popup itself.
